Personal Broadband

ADSL

OntheNet offers a wide range of Personal Broadband plans and options which are suitable for both small business and home. Plans have generous data allocations and very usable off-peak times.

Personal Broadband plans start at just $29/month and are Flatrate offering a fixed monthly price with no surprise excess fees. This innovation is ideal for parents and families wanting to use broadband services within a fixed budget. Flatrate is "fixed cost, variable speed" and payable by credit card only.

Flatrate operates at full speed until the included limit is reached. The included data allocations will be monthly, based on your billing anniversary date. If you exceed the included data allocation, of either time usage period, you will only be slowed to dialup modem speeds during that period, until your next billing anniversary date. With Flatrate, at no point do excess usage charges apply.

N.B. If you are a teleworker or SME and require a static IP to VPN, run a web or mail server on your premises, or have a need for higher reliability via failsafe solutions, please consider the Business Broadband plans.

** OntheNet recommends businesses requiring maximum control of a DSL migration, to order a New Connection on another line instead of a Transfer Connection. You must have an existing ADSL service on your line for an ADSL transfer to be possible. Cancelling your ADSL service before the ADSL transfer will cause a failed transfer and require a new connection. Transfer is only available from participating providers and typically takes 3-5 business days.

# With the higher speeds, the actual speed depends on the customer line quality and distance, internal building wiring, as well as the CPE used. The speed therefore can only be accurately determined once the service has been installed and tested. Newer ADSL2/2+ capable CPE are recommended to obtain speeds greater than 6Mbps. It is estimated that approximately 2/3 of customer locations should experience at least 6Mbps. OntheNet does not guarantee that higher speeds will be attainable in all cases.
