Data Centres are the repository of most Internet content and applications, and play a key role in availability of the content we are all becoming to rely upon daily.
Such a facility in the heart of the Gold Coast region means superior service to the local IT industry and IT heavy businesses, and less reliance upon national and even international suppliers. Having a local supplier in which to house and trust valuable infrastructure is an increasingly important factor to the local IT community.
Australian tourism giant Mantra is the anchor tenant of the Data Centre.
OntheNet Managing Director Tak Woo said the opening of the data centre marked the next phase in the growth of OntheNet, which has invested millions of dollars into broadband infrastructure on the Gold Coast.
